Prof. Dr. Emmy Latifah, S.H., M.H., AIIArb., FCIArb. is an academic and legal practitioner specializing in International Trade Law. She completed her bachelor’s degree in law at Sebelas Maret University in 2003, focusing on International Law. She then pursued her master’s and doctoral degrees at Padjadjaran University in the field of International Trade Law, completing them in 2009 and 2015, respectively.
In addition to her academic work, Prof. Emmy is actively involved as an arbitrator and mediator in various national and international arbitration institutions. She has been a member of the Arbitration and Mediation Panel at the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institution for the Financial Services Sector (LAPS SJK) in Indonesia since 2025, as well as at the Asian Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution (AIADR) and the Asian International Arbitration Center (AIAC) in Kuala Lumpur since 2019 and 2022, respectively. Internationally, she has also served as an arbitrator at the Hainan International Arbitration Court (HIAC) and the Asia Pacific International Arbitration Chamber (APIAC) in China since 2023. In Indonesia, she has been a member of the Indonesian Arbitrators Institute (IArbI) since 2018.
With professional qualifications such as AIIArb and FCIArb, Prof. Emmy Latifah is widely recognized for her contributions to cross-border dispute resolution, particularly in the fields of finance, banking, national and international contract law, construction law, international investment law, and energy law.
