The 4th International Conference on Law, Economics & Good Governance (IC-LAW 2026)

This international conference is an annual agenda organized by the Doctoral Program in Law, Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS). Now entering its third year, the conference carries the theme "From Welfare State Dystopia to Good Governance: Legal Responses in the 21st Century", which aligns with current global dynamics.

Brief Description

The 4th International Conference on Law, Economics & Good Governance (ICLAW 2026) serves as an academic forum that brings together scholars, researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and graduate students to discuss the profound challenges that test the traditional foundations of the welfare state in the 21st Century. Rapid globalization, technological disruption, environmental crises, and dynamic public health issues have exposed systemic vulnerabilities that risk bringing about a "Welfare State Dystopia". To respond to this complex reality, a fundamental shift towards resilient and adaptive Good Governance is a must.
